 Samsung has a bunch of new laptops

 just in time for the mobile world congress 2022 so I'm going to tell you all about the Samsung galaxy book 2 live, Samsung calls their phones galaxy phones they call the tablets galaxy tablets but did you know they also call their laptops galaxy laptops. we just reviewed a Samsung galaxy book pretty recently and liked it. a few of them have some interesting new features,

 so there are four models of the galaxy book 2so far so follow along with me this is where it gets a little confusing there's the galaxy book 2 pros the galaxy book 2360 the galaxy book 2 pro 360 and also the galaxy book 2 business which is as you might be able to guess a business laptop the two 360 models are your traditional 360 hinges almost yoga style uh fold back hybrid two in one.

 Whatever you want to call them laptops where they look like a regular clamshell laptop but they've got these hinges that fold back a full 360 degrees so you can turn them into kind of a big chunky tablet that you hold in your hand you can set it up in kiosk mode which is kind of what I like you can set it up in the tabletop mode which is the other way people sometimes use these 360 hinge laptops and I like that these work with the Samsung stylus every similar to the ones that you get with the tablet and related to the ones that work with the phone because these are 360 devices with touchscreens again drawing sketching on them there's no place to slide the pen in on these you're going to have to store it.

 separately sometimes in these hybrid laptops have a little slot for it but it's nice that you canuse the pen with these then there's agalaxy book 2 pros that's just a regularclamshell version it does not fold backand you can tell the difference becausethe hinge is designed a little bitdifferently on this one also not a touchthe screen doesn't have pen support butit's a very nice premium laptop and allof these have AMOLED displays andthey're full HD displays so not 4k not2560x1440 just regular 1920x1080although that's frankly fine for 99.9 ofthe people out there and it's usuallypretty good for battery life too now youmaybe asking yourself these look a lotlike the galaxy book ones that we'veseen what's the difference here there's not a huge difference between the big upgrades are number one moving to 12th generation intel processors and that's just kind of table stakes now if you have a new laptop coming out this year that's the processor family,

you want to be in and depending on whether you get the pro orIn the non-pro models you get different families within that 12th generation processor series. these have and I think this is the most important thing these have moved up to full HD webcam so the camera is a 1920 by 1080 camera and you may say to yourself well that's not that big a deal in laptops it is because we spent the last two-plus years sitting around doing web meeting sand video meetings and zoo meetings all day and frankly.

 unless you have a very very new laptop and even in that case you probably have a lower resolution camera in there that's not very good and frankly annoys everyone you're on a video meeting with having a regular full HD camera is a big plus and here you get that in the pro model of the regular and the 360 and also in the business model the regular non-pro just has a lower resolution I think it's 720 camera which is kind of what people have been using up until now in a lot of laptops another interesting thing is that these are all 16x9 laptops where a lot of newer models from different manufacturers are going with 16 by 10screens that's the aspect ratio of the screen it gives you a little more space to read through just a little bit more of a document on your screen but these are sticking with 16x9 which is you know standard HD tv aspect ratio and of course a lot of videos especially.

 if you're watching movies or anything like that's the perfect fit for the 16by nine aspect ratio now once you get into the nitty-gritty of the different models that's where some more differences start popping up in the galaxy book 2 pro and the pro 360 you can get them in 13 inches and 15-inch models so both models in both sizes if you just get the regular 360 the non-pro version that is a 13-inch screen only and then if you get the business version that's a 14-inch screen so lots of variety there and because Samsung likes to keep everything in the family there's a lot of interoperability between their different products,

 I think if you have the s8 or the s7 and you can use that as a secondary display a wireless secondary display for your galaxy book laptop so the prices for these are all over the place it's a wide range the regular galaxy book 2 that's 900 the galaxy book2 pro is 10.50 the galaxy book 2 pro 360that's 1250 and up and then the business version we don't know the pricing or availability on that's going to be later this year but they're just talking about it now to kind of set the stage for it and that's what's going on with Samsung's latest laptop lineup just in time for the mobile world congress.
